Logitec X-300 bluetooth speaker review

The Logitech X-300 could be described as a “nice cosy speaker, which is totally worth its price”.                                    

General

For Logitech this is one of their first Bluetooth speakers, which costs between 60 and 75 euros. The fancy colourful design catches the eye immediately, it could be placed in horizontal or vertical position, which is a nice extra touch. It is light weighted, only 335 gram, so it can easily be used for travelling.                                                                                    

Sound

The sound is pretty good for this price class. High tones are accentuated, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any basses anymore. And when the volume is increased, it produces the same sound quality. So if you are looking for a nice little speaker for a good price, this could be an excellent choice.

Battery

According to the manual the battery should last for 5 hours, but this is a bit over estimated. It will run easily up to 4 hours but after that a recharge is required. A positive feature is

 that recharging can be done by micro USB, so most smartphone-chargers can be used except for the iPhone chargers.

Connection

It is sold to perform in good quality over a distance of 10 meters, but without any obstacles it will go till 20 meters. So 10 meters is a correct estimation of the distance between the receiver and the source to perform without disturbance in good quality. Greater distances enhance the chances for little interruptions.                                              

Conclusion

Two minor things to be aware of before purchasing this device is the limited battery time and the lack of a protective case to carry the speaker with you. But overall this is a nice speaker to chill out with friends or to travel with. Therefore I give this a silver reward.
